Co-Axial Escapement

The Co-Axial escapement functions with a system of three pallets that separate the locking function from the impulse, with the pushing, as opposed to the sliding friction of the lever escapement, resulting in greater mechanical efficiency with 3 years warranty.

Master Chronometer, the finished watch, whose movement is a COSC chronometer, passes tests approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) that replicate real-life wearing conditions and demonstrate resistance to water and magnetic fields.

Si14

Silicon is non-magnetic so the performance of the Si 14 balance-spring is not disturbed by exposure to magnetic objects. This physical property of silicon allows watches with the Si 14 balance-spring to deliver significantly better chronometric performance than balance-springs made of traditional materials.

18K Sedna™ gold

Sedna gold is the name OMEGA has given to a new alloy that blends three elements: gold, copper and palladium. It is an 18K rose gold, meaning that it has a minimum gold content of 75%. Sedna’s unique rose colour is a result, in part, of just the right proportion of copper: Its palladium content helps to ensure that the reddish hue of Sedna gold will be particularly long lasting.

Omega began its journey in 1848 in the Swiss town of La Chaux-de-Fonds. Where the most prestigious watchmaking companies were born, a pocket watch workshop was founded by Louis Brandt.
